A DRINK driver was arrested near Dorchester after police received tip-offs from the community.

Police were able to locate and arrest an alleged regular drink driver in Cerne Abbas after they received intelligence from the community.

Officers in Dorchester patrolled the area and were able to locate the driver's vehicle. The driver, a 55-year-old male was arrested for drink driving and was also found to be in possession of class B drugs.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "The driver, a 55-year-old local male was arrested for providing a positive road side breath test.

"He was also arrested for possession of class B drugs. The male will be dealt with in court in due course for driving whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit. He has been given an out of court disposal for the possession of class B drugs.
