POLICE have stepped up patrols to reduce anti-social behaviour in Shaftesbury.
Officers patrolled areas in the town where groups are known to congregate on Wednesday (July 21).
A spokesman for North Dorset Police said: "The Shaftesbury team continues to strive in reducing ASB by patrolling known areas in town where groups congregate.
"Yesterday evening (July 21) several groups were spoken to. There were no major issues with just one youth taken home after alcohol was seized."
Overall reports of anti-social behaviour have fallen in Dorset over the last two years, however, it traditionally increases over the summer months.
