A MAN caught drink driving on two occasions has been banned from getting behind the wheel for more than four years.

Wayne Frederick Mabey, aged 38, was pulled over by police officers on Church Road in Moreton after they suspected him of driving above the limit on December 19, 2020.

A breathalyser test showed that he was almost three times the drink-drive limit at 99 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.

On November 23, 2020, he had been caught drink driving on East Burton Road in Wool. A breathalyser test reading saw he had 51 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Mabey of East Knighton, Winfrith Newburgh, was found guilty of drink driving in December 2020 but pleaded guilty to drink driving in Wool in November 2020.

Magistrates disqualified Mabey from driving for 52 months and ordered him to undertake up to 15 days of rehabilitation activity requirement and 100 hours of unpaid work under a community order.

He was also ordered to pay court costs of £705 and £95 victim surcharge.
