Mike Joslin’s letter (Clean energy need) would be laughable if it were not such a promotion of fake news and so dismissive of the intelligence of your readers.

Putting aside Mr Joslin’s attempt at political indoctrination, does he really hope a gullible readership will believe him when he says “It’s certain that (Kingston Maurward’s) electricity bill will greatly exceed what they were paying for gas and oil”.
Of course some electricity will be consumed, but Mr Joslin should applaud the beneficial utilisation of a free resource provided by Mother Nature, and the reduction in polluting oil or gas, rather than indulging in cheap smears.
Come on, Mr Joslin - save your soap-box rhetoric for some less reputable audience than that provided by the Echo.
