Police searching for a missing woman in the Tolpuddle area are appealing for information from the public to help find her.

Gina Corbin, aged 56, was last seen leaving the village on foot at around 11.45am today, Wednesday, heading south down Southover Lane.

She is described as white, five feet six inches tall and of stocky build with neck-length brown hair. Gina was wearing a dark-coloured cardigan, zebra print trousers and khaki-coloured trainers.

Chief Inspector Neil Wright, of Dorset Police, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Gina’s welfare. I understand she does regularly go out walking in the local area but is never normally out for this long and it is believed she may be in need of medical treatment.

“We are carrying out extensive searches around the village and I would urge anyone with information as to Gina’s whereabouts, or who sees a woman matching the description given, to please contact us immediately.

“Finally, I would like to make a plea to Gina if you see this appeal – please contact us or your family and let us know where you are we all just want to make sure you are safe.”

Gina has since been found safe. See our story here
