TWO cars have been seized by police in Weymouth after they were being driven with no insurance.
A white Vauxhall Vivaro van and a blue Honda CRV were seized by police yesterday after a police check revealed both cars were being driven without insurance.
Police said both drivers thought their insurance policies had renewed automatically.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "Interesting evening in Weymouth. The Vivaro van and Honda CRV were both seized for no insurance.
"Both drivers stated that they thought their policies had automatically renewed. They hadn't.
"Please ensure you check your policies are renewed.
"Both drivers issued with fixed penalties.
"We also dealt with some anti-social behaviour driving, with some tickets issued for minor offences."
