WEYMOUTH manager Brian Stock is ecstatic with by the arrivals of Omar Mussa and Taofiq Olomowewe to the Bob Lucas Stadium.

The duo have been trialling with the Terras all summer, with 20-year-old midfielder Mussa and 24-year-old defender Olomowewe impressing enough to earn deals.

While Stock is greatly enthused by the duo’s commitment to Weymouth, he also recognised the pivotal role Wessex Fantasy Football has played in the deals.

He told Echosport: “A special mention needs to be afforded to Wessex Fantasy Football and the chairman (Ian White). Without that, these deals weren’t possible.

“It’s served the club so well over the last few years and played a very pivotal part in bringing Brandon Goodship back to the club and signing Omar and T.”

Commenting on Mussa, Stock rates the Belgium under-18 international’s ability as “frightening”.

He said: “Omar is a player that for 20-years-old has got so much ability it’s frightening. He can be anything he wants to be.

“If he understands things that he needs to improve on, on and off the ball, when to play his football, because he’s a good learner, I see him progressing a lot further than Weymouth.”

On Olomowewe, Stock said: “T brings a lot to the table. He’s got a fantastic attitude, he really has. That’s probably the shining light for me in terms of giving him a deal.

“He’s really fitted in well with the group and he’s not afraid to bark orders and organise, which is something with a young squad we probably lack.

“He brings that leadership to the side and he’s an out and out defender. Given a one v one, he’s quick, he’s strong, and he brings that physicality to the side.

“If there’s one area of (his) game we look to try and enhance, it would be to play out from the back.

“I don’t think he’s been in many teams that like to play out. It’s a learning curve for him, but he’s responded to that.

“As soon as the game finished on Saturday, he’s straight away asking for feedback. It speaks volumes about the kid.”
