This unusual set of photographs can be shared today thanks to the kind generosity of Sally Weld of Wool.
Sally’s late husband Wilfred began collecting postcards around 15 years ago.
The collection rapidly expanded, with Wilfred managing to acquire numerous postcards of Purbeck, a selection of which Sally would like to share with Dorset Echo readers.
They include glorious old photos of East Lulworth, the Weld Arms Hotel, Burngate Farm, West Lulworth and Coombe Keynes Church.
Today we have a selection of images showing the early days of Lulworth Camp. We’d love to hear from anyone who can provide us with information about the camp at that time - get in touch by calling 01305 83097 or emailing joanna.davis@dorsetecho.co.uk
