Please be kind enough to allow me to publicly thank the Asda delivery driver today who came to my assistance when, for the third consecutive delivery, I received no gluten free bread.
Living alone, I’m over 80 with arthritis and other medical conditions so depend on my online orders.
Today is one of my more painful days and this clearly showed in my demeanour.
He said he’d have a look after his shift and would be back later.
Much to my surprise he did indeed return with a loaf, the last one on the shelf.
When I offered payment he refused to accept it.
This act of kindness is much appreciated.
That young man is a credit to his family and Asda are lucky to have him as an employee.
