VISITORS will be welcomed to a Grade-I listed home to attend an art exhibition and auction.
Diverse Abilities is hosting an art exhibition at St Giles House in Wimborne, home to the Earl of Shaftesbury, to raise money to buy a hydrotherapy pool as part of the charity's splash appeal which is aiming to raise £1m.
The exhibition will take place on September 21 and 22 and an auction, hosted by the Earl and Countess of Shaftesbury, will be held on September 23.
Henrietta Young, artist and curator of the show, said of the event: "The aim of the show and subsequent auction is twofold: firstly, it is to raise the £1m needed to build a hydrotherapy pool for The Beehive. Secondly, we hope the exhibition will help highlight that we need to do more to include people with disabilities."
