THE family of a 17-year-old who was killed in a motocross crash have set up a fundraising page in his memory.

As reported, Jude Morris, from Corfe Castle, was racing in the British Motocross Championship at Duns in Scotland on August 28 when he was injured going over a jump and sadly died.

In his memory, Jude's family have started a fundraiser for Air Ambulances UK, a national organisation representing and supporting the UK's 21 air ambulance charities.

Jude's father Mark said: "We chose the air ambulance because often in motocross, for serious injuries, the air ambulance is needed. Everyone was being so kind and wanted to send us gifts, however, we felt this would help the motocross community in a more positive way."

The fundraiser has already received more than £15,000 in donations. Donors are also able to leave tributes to the young athlete on the page.

On the fundraiser, Jude's family wrote: "Always with a smile on his face; a role model with time for everyone. Jude was a much loved son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend to so many."
