A MAN arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault of a teenage boy on Weymouth Beach will face no further police action.

It was reported that at around 5pm on June 1 a man approached a group of teenagers on the beach and made inappropriate comments toward them. It was alleged that he also threw a rock at the group, grabbed and pushed a teenage boy and kissed another one of the boys on the neck while apologising.

A 42-year-old Weymouth man was arrested on suspicion of assault and sexual assault and was released under investigation.

Following further enquiries by officers, he has now been released from under investigation and will face no further police action. The teenage boys involved have been updated.

Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
