THE Red Arrows took to the skies over Dorset only a matter of weeks ago for the Bournemouth Air Festival, but today, Thursday September 16, they return.

Over the course of the day the RAF’s aerobatic team will be calling at Bournemouth twice, first following a flyover above Cardiff marking 81 years since the Battle of Britain.

The display team will then take to the skies again in the afternoon departing for the Isle of Wight Festival, before returning to Bournemouth in the early evening.

According to the Red Arrows display schedule, on military-airshows.co.uk, the iconic red planes will arrive at Bournemouth Airport just after midday at 12.10pm.

The team will be flying over the skies of Cardiff at 11.50am, having departed RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire at 11.14am.

Then in the afternoon the Red Arrows are set to take off from Bournemouth Airport at 4.15pm, flying over the south of the town at 4.53pm and over the sea around a minute later.

At 5pm the team will be performing an aerial display over Newport at 5pm for the inaugural day of the Isle of Wight Festival.

Following the display the team will then fly back towards Bournemouth and touch down at the airport at 5.30pm.
