A MYSTERY man from Dorset has scooped one million pounds after winning big in the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker draw.

While 13 is unlucky for some, it certainly wasn’t for the man known only as Mr W after he bagged the prize on the August 13 draw.

Mr W is the second mystery winner from Dorset in a matter of weeks after a player known as Ms K won £300,000 on an instant win game last month.

“Massive congratulations to Mr. W for becoming a millionaire overnight,” said Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at the National Lottery.

“He is one of 13 lucky winners who banked £1M in our special Friday 13th EuroMillions draw. Far from being unlucky, Friday 13th has proven to be very lucky indeed.”

Like Ms K the only details that have been revealed about the new mystery winner is the amount he bagged and that he hails from Dorset.

Mr W won his prize via the UK Millionaire Maker which is based on a code automatically printed onto lottery tickets that creates a millionaire for each draw.

Mr Carter added: “We’re encouraging everyone to check their tickets online at national-lottery.co.uk or by downloading the National Lottery app, and to buy or check their tickets in retail in line with government guidance.

“Playing online via the website or app means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize.

“You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner.”

In addition to the two recent mystery Dorset winners with the National Lottery, Kathy Jardine recently won big at the bingo after scooping £50,000 in a jackpot game.
