BRIAN Stock believes Weymouth are a “different enemy” compared to last season as they prepare to host Dover Athletic in front of the BT Sport cameras tomorrow (5.20pm).

Weymouth lost the Vanarama National League game played on BT Sport last season, suffering a 5-1 reverse to Halifax.

But after January and into this season Weymouth appear to have turned a corner, occupying 11th with seven points from five games despite playing four of the current top five in the table.

They go into their clash with Dover at the Bob Lucas Stadium as genuine favourites, with the visitors suffering financial problems last season which resulted in a minus-12 points deduction.

Athletic have struggled to chip away at their penalty this season, with one draw and four losses in five games.

Terras’ boss Stock told Echosport: “I truly believe in this group of players. They’re a good, honest, hard-working bunch.

“We’ve looked a good team for the majority of the game in the last four games.

“I hope when the cameras come those players step up to the mark, showcase what they can do and look to take three points off of Dover.

“The Halifax game for me, at 2-1, we showed glimpses of what we can do but I really do think we’re a different enemy now than what we were this time last year. I’m confident going into most games with this group.”

Centre-back Ben Morgan and captain Josh McQuoid are expected to be fit.
