A MAN has been warned by a judge that he will go to jail after he admitted causing a crash in which a woman was seriously injured by driving dangerously.

Greg Simon Love, 23, was driving a Citroen DS3 on the A354 Salisbury Road in Pimperne near Blandford when it collided with a wall on December 5, 2020.

A woman who was a passenger in the vehicle was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries.

Love was said to have sustained minor injuries and was taken to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester for treatment.

Love, of Ashes Road, Oldbury, West Midlands, appeared at Bournemouth Crown Court yesterday and pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle without insurance, driving above the drink-drive limit, and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He will be sentenced next month.

Judge Stephen Climie told him: "You need to prepare yourself for an immediate custodial sentence."

The judge adjourned the case and Love, who was released on unconditional bail, will next appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday, October 22.
