A DOCTOR is taking to the stage in his first ever theatre tour, and it is not for the faint hearted.

Dr Richard Shepherd, a forensic pathologist, is coming to Weymouth Pavilion for an evening which 'promises to be utterly fascinating'.

Dr Shepherd has performed more than 23,000 post-mortems and examined evidence in some of the most high-profile and tragic deaths in recent history, including the 9/11 attacks, the 7/7 bombings, and the deaths of Princess Diana and Stephen Lawrence.

He will take to the stage at 7.30pm on October 7 in his show named 'Unnatural Causes', where he will tell audiences about his work.

A spokesman for Weymouth Pavilion said: "Dr Richard Shepherd's evidence has put killers behind bars, freed the innocent and turned open-and-shut cases on their hands. Yet all this has come at a huge personal cost.

"Join Dr Shepherd for an evening which promises to be utterly fascinating. 'Unnatural Causes' will tell you the story of not only the cases and bodies that have haunted him the most, but also how to live a life steeped in death."
