CROWDS were memorised after Weymouth town centre was once again visited by beating drums and the hypnotic presence of a giant, glowing man-shaped puppet.

Inside Out Dorset held its second night of wonder last night, as around 2,000 people were dazzled by the Whitley Bay-based drumming team Worldbeaters and the giant Dundu.

As dusk fell, the Sense of Unity parade began in St Edmund Street after the rhythm of drums began to echo through the streets.

The Worldbeaters bang their drums through St Mary Street before standing above the crowd on a platform to provide a dynamic performance, which also featured the baby Dundu.

As the crowds followed, the next stop was Bond Street as the drummers were in search of the giant Dundu.

Just between the White Hart and The Range, the giant Dundu, lit from the inside, visited the Weymouth town centre once again for a second night in a row.

The procession then headed towards the Clock Tower on The Esplanade, but not before visiting some popular spots, including The Black Dog, after again taking St Mary's Street.

People were seen clinging to the King's Statue to try and get the best high-rise shot of the giant Dundu, while others followed the precession before both acts met outside the Clock Tower.

The show was commissioned by Activate Performing Arts, which produced the European collaboration between German outdoor puppeteers Dundu, and UK percussion ensemble Worldbeaters since 2017.
