A TIPPED-OVER load carried by a tractor and a separate crash are causing delays around the Football Ground Roundabout on the A35.
Dorset Council have said the A35 westbound (Dorchester Bypass) is blocked due to the tipped over load with queueing traffic, which is being made worse by a reported crash between two cars next to the A354 Weymouth Road (Football Ground Roundabout).
There is a second, separate collision on the A354 Weymouth Road between two cars, according to an eyewitness.
Both ways are blocked on the A354 with queueing traffic stretching towards Weymouth.
Eyewitness George Allen said: "There was a two-car collision causing problems just around the corner on the road towards Weymouth after the roundabout.
"Utter hell with both accidents at the same time.
"I imagine that it has not been completely cleared yet."
A JCB tipper truck is currently on the scene clearing the material from the road at Football Ground Roundabout at the A35/A354 junction in Dorchester.
Dorset Police have said the A354 has reopened following the crash
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: "The A354 between Weymouth and Dorchester has reopened following road closures put in place between the Jurassic and Football Stadium Roundabouts.
"This was to allow emergency services to work safely at the scene.
"Traffic is heavy in the area. Thank you for your patience."
