We are learning about the shortage of HGV drivers and its consequences.
Most readers can be forgiven for being unaware of the issue, but what about government?
Should we not expect government to have seen the problem building and take effective action? Their response so far is clearly inadequate.
Who in government should have been addressing the issue, politicians or top civil servants?
Has anyone been listening to haulage contractors? I do not believe it is enough to blame just the party that happens to be in power. our system is broken; but sadly the two main parties refuse to acknowledge it.
