YOUTHS have reportedly been killing wildlife, consuming alcohol and causing noise in Dorchester, say police.
Police are stepping up patrols following a report of anti-social behaviour at the old tennis court by Bowling Alley Walks in Dorchester, in which two dead pigeons were said to have been found.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team says it has been working with both Dorchester Town Council and Dorset Council to tidy the area - cutting back shrubbery and repairing lights nearby.
A spokesman for Dorchester Police said: "Injuring or killing a wild bird is an offence against the Wildlife and Countryside Act.
"Patrols are being conducted by the Neighbourhood Policing Team to deter any further incidents, should you see anything of concern please report it at the time."
