“Legacies are special gifts that provide a vital source of funds for our charity,” said Julie Plowden, the deputy chief executive officer at the charity.
“Each legacy is a lasting memory of someone special who cared about our work and can have an enormous impact on our service, for years to come.
“By leaving this significant gift in her will, Jean has helped to fund our life-saving work and enabled us to be there for patients when they need us the most.”

The donation was given to the air ambulance by Mrs Johnson’s will executor Jo Stephenson.
As executor of the will Mrs Stephenson presented the RNLI with a donation for the same amount in a ceremony at Weymouth Lifeboat Station last month.
