Aldi has released some eerie-sistable recipes, perfect for your horrific Halloween party or to give to terrifying trick-or-treaters.

From warming amaretto to pink hot chocolate and a 'Bubblin Cauldron', these drinks are sure to get any Halloween party started. 

Here is a list of some devilishly good drinks that are the perfect accompaniment to the festive season.

Bubblin Cauldron

This is the perfect centrepiece for any spooky Halloween spread. 

Serves: 8 people

Prep time: 10 minutes

Ingredients
  • 1 litre Diet Cola
  • 1 litre Orange Juice
  • 1 litre Lemonade
  • 150g bag of Dried Cranberry Fruit
  • 312g tinned Mandarin Oranges
  • Apple and Raspberry Ropes
  • Multifruit Juices – for ice cubes
Method

1.  Fill some ice cube trays with the Multifruit Juices and freeze.

2.  Mix the diet cola, orange, lemonade, cranberries and oranges – with their juice – in a large bowl.

3.  Decorate with the ropes and add the ice cubes – then serve.

4.  For a frothier drink add scoops of vanilla soft scoop ice cream and watch the cauldron bubble and foam!

Red Berry Drac-uiri

This refreshing blood-red drink will get you in the Halloween spirit in no time!

Serves: 8 people

Prep time: 10 minutes

Ingredients
  • 200g Strawberries - fresh or frozen
  • 200g Raspberries - fresh or frozen
  • 2 big handfuls Ice Cubes
  • 2 Limes
  • 100ml White Rum (optional)
Method

1.  Zest the limes and keep to one side.

2.  Put the strawberries and raspberries in a blender and add the ice and juice of the limes.

3.  Blend until a smooth slushy-like consistency.

4.  Add the rum if desired.

5.  Serve in ice cold glasses and decorate with lime zest curls.

Slimeade

Slimeade is perfect for both kids at parties and adults, if you like something a little stronger! 

Serves: 8 people

Prep time: 10 minutes

Ingredients
  • 1 litre Lemonade
  • 2 Limes
  • 4 Kiwi Fruit
  • 100ml White Rum (optional)
Method

1.  Juice the limes and add to the lemonade.

2.  Halve the kiwis and scoop out the flesh. Blend the kiwi fruit and add to the lemonade.

3.  Add rum if desired.

Scream-a-Colada

This scrumptious scream-a-colada cannot be missed at any party.

Serves: 4 people

Prep time: 10 minutes

Ingredients
  • 200ml Coconut Milk
  • 500ml Pineapple Juice
  • 1 Whole Fresh Pineapple
  • 100g fresh and frozen Strawberries or Raspberries
Method

1.  Blend the strawberries or raspberries into a smooth coulis.

2.  Twist the leaves off the pineapple and reserve for decoration.

3.  Cut the rind off the pineapple and cut the remaining fruit into 6 wedges.

4.  Mix the coconut milk and pineapple juice together.

5.  Drizzle the red fruit coulis around the inside of the glass.

6.  Blend the coconut milk and pineapple juice in a jug and mix well.

7.  Divide between the glasses.

8.  Add a pineapple wedge to each glass and decorate with the leaves.

Pink Hot Chocolate

A perfectly pink drink that will go down a treat with all the kids during the festive season! 

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 200g White Chocolate
  • 500ml Whole Milk
  • 1 tsp Red Food Colouring
  • 30g Chocolate Um’s
  • 30g Mini Marshmallows
  • Aerosol Cream

Method

  1. Chop the Choc Um’s in half and put to one side.
  2. Chop the white chocolate into small pieces or grate.
  3. Warm the milk in a saucepan until hot - don’t boil.
  4. Add the white chocolate and turn the heat down to a simmer - stir through until melted.
  5. Take the pan off the heat, add the food colouring and stir.
  6. Divide between 2 cups or heatproof glasses.
  7. Squirt some cream over the top.
  8. Decorate with the Choc Um’s and marshmallows.

Hot Amaretto

This delicious drink is great for cosy autumnal nights after a long day or the perfect digestif at a dinner party. 

Serves: 4 people

Prep time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 700ml Semi Skimmed Milk
  • 300ml Cowbelle Single Cream
  • 125g Moser Roth 70% Dark Chocolate
  • 100ml Amaretto
  • 25g Moser Roth Madagascan Vanilla Chocolate

Method

  1. Finely chop the dark chocolate and grate the white chocolate.
  2. Put the milk and the cream into a pan and heat to almost boiling.
  3. Divide the dark chocolate between 4 glasses, adding 25ml of Amaretto into each glass.
  4. Divide the hot milk between the 4 glasses - stir to melt the chocolate - then sprinkle white chocolate over the top and serve.
