A DORSET man has been sentenced to four months in prison for possessing a Class A drug, two counts of failing to give a breath test and being found with a knuckle duster.
Daniel John Ford, 31, and of no fixed address, was sentenced at Poole Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 5, where he was also banned from driving for more than five years.
As a result of the number of offences before the court, and a previous record of offending, the Dorset man was handed a sentence of four months in prison for the offences combined.
Ford was found in possession of an offensive weapon, a knuckle duster, without reasonable excuse on November 7 last year, and pleaded guilty on Tuesday October 5.
While at Poole Magistrates Ford was also sentenced concurrently for being in possession of heroin in Weymouth on April 29 this year.
In addition to two counts of failing to supply a breath test without reasonable excuse when he was stopped by police.
The first of these occurred on July 3 in Dorchester and then at the Esplanade in Weymouth on July 23, both of this year.
Ford was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for five years and nine months starting from August 4, 2021.
