A POPULAR coffee shop in Dorchester town centre has provided an update to the public why it was shut on Sunday despite being advertised as open.

The Costa Coffee branch in Cornhill, was shut on Sunday, October 10 despite.

It has been revealed the coffee shop in the town centre will remain shut on Sundays for the foreseeable futue. Recruiting is taking place with a view to extend opening hours.

A Costa Coffee spokeswoman, said: "The Costa Coffee store in Cornhill, Dorchester is currently open Monday to Saturday only, between 8am – 4pm.

"We're in the process of recruiting additional team members in order to increase our trading hours and welcome people applying in store directly, where all team member pay has recently increased by five per cent.

"We would like to apologise for any inconvenience the temporary change in trading times may cause customers and look forward to extending our opening hours soon."
