A weather warning has been issued for parts of Wales on Thursday, with flooding possible.

Heavy rain is expected, with up to 160mm falling in some places.

Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely according to The Met Office.

This is what they warn to expect:

  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
  • Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely

Met Office weather warning in Wales

A spokesman said: “Outbreaks of heavy rain are expected to become persistent for periods causing impacts during Thursday and Friday.

“In general, 40-60 mm is expected within the warning area but 100-120 mm is likely over high ground with as much as 160 mm over Snowdonia.”

The weather warning will come into force Thursday morning and run until the end of Friday.
