It really is great to see plans coming together for building housing on a brown field site, (the gas works site).
There has been too much building on greenfield sites around the towns in South Dorset, the easy option for the developers, but eating up the green lungs of the area.
Fair enough when our redundant commercial/industrial have been developed but not before.
The sites must also include provision for affordable housing and allow our local youngsters the possibility if having (even if not owning) their own homes.
