A SCENIC location in Dorset has been dubbed as having among the country's best Winter walks.

Holiday Cottages has created a list to collate the country's best walking spots during the Winter which offer 'incredible breath-taking views'.

The iconic Corfe Castle has been named among the country's best due to its varying walks of between 1.5 to five miles, its links to Kimmeridge Bay or being able to visit the historic village and castle.

A spokeswoman for Holiday Cottages said: "The National Trust’s Corfe Castle is one of Britain’s most iconic landmarks and survivors of the English Civil War and is one of the UK’s most photographed sites.

"The beauty of this walk is that it can be adapted depending on how short, or long, you want your walk to be. If you enjoy a lengthy stroll, walk from Corfe Castle square up to Kimmeridge Bay on the South West Coast Path.

"If you want a short walk, just walk around the village and up to the castle."

Shannon Keary, digital PR manager at holidaycottages.co.uk says: “These great routes across such picturesque places make the perfect activity for a crisp winter’s day. What better way to keep yourself warm by soaking up the sights of these amazing places which are right on our doorstep!”
