POLICE are stepping up patrols in an area of Weymouth after a property was damaged amid an ongoing spate of anti-social behaviour.

Officers from Weymouth & Portland Police are out on foot patrol in Littlemoor following a recent report of criminal damage to a property.

Due to ongoing anti-social behaviour in the area, the Neighbourhood Inspector has now authorised a section 35 dispersal order for Littlemoor.

"This gives officers an extra power to exclude individuals who are intent on causing crime and disorder from a specific area," added a spokesman for the force.

"Patrols will continue into the evening and enquires are ongoing in relation to the report of criminal damage."
