A MAN charged with hitting a man near Weymouth seafront and then allegedly driving off is set to appear in court for trial.
Warren Dean Molloy, aged 52, reportedly failed to stop while driving his red Honda after allegedly hitting another person in Greenhill on July 24, 2019, Weymouth Magistrates Court heard.
The court heard how Molloy, of De Moulham Road, Swanage, pleaded not guilty to driving a vehicle and failing to stop after a road accident.
On Tuesday, November 16, Molloy told the court he did not know an accident may have occurred.
Molloy will next appear for trial at Weymouth Magistrates Court on February 1 next year.
He was given conditional bail.
