AN ‘attractive’ cottage in a sought-after Dorset village is up for sale for a bargain.
Auctioneers Symonds and Sampson say the three-bedroom house based on Pennys Lane in Cranborne near Wimborne will go under the hammer for £195,000.
Described in the brochure as an ‘attractive semi-detached cottage’, the property sits within grounds of approximately 0.09 acres and has a view that overlooks the village.
The accommodation comprises entrance hall, store, kitchen, and reception room on the ground floor and two bedrooms, a box room/study and a bathroom on the first floor.
According to its floorplan, its ground floor has a sitting room and dining area, kitchen space and access to the garden. Its first floor has three bedrooms of varying size and an upstairs bathroom.
There is however a catch to the property – the brochure states the cottage requires modernisation and has historically suffered from subsidence.
With front and rear gardens, there may be potential for extension subject to planning permission and any other necessary consents. The summerhouse is not included in the sale.
The property is based in the village within the beautiful countryside of the Cranborne Chase, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The village has a post office and shop, two pubs, hotel, award winning restaurant and the Cranborne Manor garden centre with tea rooms.
The property is up for auction on Thursday, December 9. More information can be found here -https://bit.ly/30XhAhG
