POLICE seized a car in Weymouth after the driver was found behind the wheel with no insurance and a provisional licence.

Police stopped a black Audi A3 in the Westham area yesterday afternoon and found an unaccompanied driver.

It was discovered that the driver only had a provisional licence and the car was not insured.

A spokesman from Dorset Police said: "At 4.30pm, a car was stopped in the Westham area of Weymouth by officers from the neighbourhood enforcement team.

"The driver was an unaccompanied provisional licence holder and the car was not insured.

"The car has been seized and the driver reported for the offences."
