THE final home at a new housing development in Dorset has now been reserved, with housebuilder set to welcome the remaining residents this winter.

Bellway Wessex is constructing 60 new private homes at Badbury Reach in Wimborne, as well as 24 affordable houses and apartments, which are available to local people through rent or shared ownership.

The two, three and four-bedroom private homes at the development are from Bellway’s Artisan Collection – a range of house types that combine traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail with the latest techniques in design and construction.

The homes, located off Cranborne Road, are the first from The Artisan Collection to have been built in Dorset.

Kim Caldwell, sales director at Bellway Wessex, said: “The success we have experienced from the outset at Badbury Reach demonstrates the high demand for high-quality homes in this popular area of Dorset.

“We have delivered a selection of homes that have catered to the needs of different buyers and the designs from The Artisan Collection have made exceptional use of space and light.

“The construction of the new building for Wimborne First School next to the development has particularly appealed to families and young couples.

“As construction work draws to a close, we are edging nearer to seeing the completion of this new community forming."

The news comes new homes at St Mary’s Hill development in Blandford St Mary are becoming available and the first residents have moved into their new homes.
