STAFF and volunteers working at Dorset's Covid-19 vaccination clinics will be able to park for free.

Dorset Council confirmed they are offering free parking at the local authority's car parks for the foreseeable future.

Participants just need to provide their vehicle registration details to their clinic manager, who will pass the information to Dorset Council’s parking team.

These vehicles will be added to a database, which our officers can access to ensure they are not issued with a fine if they do not purchase a parking ticket.

Councillor Ray Bryan, Dorset Council's Portfolio Holder for Highways, Travel and Environment, said: "We are proud to support the brilliant volunteers and staff who are helping roll out vaccinations, and we urge all our residents to get a booster jab if you are eligible.

"Getting vaccinated is the best way of protecting yourself and those around you, and the booster vaccination is vital in maintaining protection against severe COVID this winter."
