THE Society of Dorset Men will be holding their annual Christmas lunch this coming weekend – which is set to feature a charity raffle.
The event will be held at the Crown Hotel in Blandford on Sunday, December 5, and is due to start at 1pm.
On the day there will be a raffle for a hamper all in a bid to raise funds for the Weldmar Hospice in Dorchester.
The raffle will be taking place after the initial festive lunch, which will then be followed by a Christmas sing song with carols taking place.
Records indicate the society goes back as far as the 17th century but in 2021 the group has more than 900 members, all of whom have a common bond in a passion for Dorset.
