TAKE a break from your Christmas shopping and enjoy some festive music.
Unaccompanied choir group Wacapella are excited to announce that they will be giving a short Christmas concert at St Mary's Church, Weymouth on Friday, December 10 at 11am.
A spokesman said: "This is perfect for anyone who would like a carol concert but doesn't want to go out on a winter's evening. Or if you're in town for your Christmas shopping, come and have a well-earned rest and some sustenance for the soul. There will be sustenance also in the form of tea and a mince pie. While the concert itself is free, a small donation will be welcome for refreshments afterwards."
Wacapella is a small, unaccompanied choir. Expect a mix of the well-known and the unusual such as an old-time American version of Hark the Herald Angels Sing.
The event will take place in the Simeon Room. The room will be well-ventilated, and it is hoped that audience members will have been vaccinated, as are the singers.
