Dorset South MP Richard Drax plans to vote against the new Plan B Covid measures in the House of Commons on Tuesday [Dorset Echo, December 10] and businesses across Dorset are disappointed at the new restrictions which are bound to affect businesses however large or small.

But this really is a Catch 22 situation.
For both the areas of Dorset Council and the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council are experiencing alarmingly high numbers of new Covid infections.
Both areas have been recording 350 cases each day recently and the figures for each area are often between 250-300 a day.
These numbers are above the regional and national averages.
If you have lost a relative or friend to this dreadful disease or even know someone who has suffered from it then we are bound to come down in favour of the latest restrictions.
