FIRE stations across Dorset are appealing for donations of unwanted clothing.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) collates the garments to support the Fire Fighters Charity, which helps enhance the lives of serving and retired firefighters.
A spokesperson for DWFRS said: “These services are vital to ensuring that the fire and rescue community stays fit and healthy.
“A range of support is available, including advice, signposting, residential rehabilitation, mental and emotional wellbeing, and recuperation programmes.”
The charity has three centres around the UK offering a range of support programmes including physical rehabilitation and recuperation, as well as offering short breaks for those who need it.
The stations with donation banks in Dorset are located at Beaminster, Bere Regis, Bridport, Charmouth, Ferndown, Gillingham, Hamworthy, Maiden Newton, Verwood and Westbourne.
