DORCHESTER Sports’ boss Ashley James warned his in-form side has a target on its back ahead of hosting Hamworthy United Reserves at the Avenue Stadium tomorrow (2pm).

Sports are on a record-breaking run of 12 straight wins and return to Jewson Dorset Premier League action following a two-week gap in games.

James’ men cruised past Wareham Rangers 7-2 in their last outing on New Year’s Day and beat tomorrow’s opponents Hamworthy 6-1 before Christmas.

James told Echosport: “We’ve been in outstanding form home and away.

“We’ve only failed to win four games this season so we’re in confident, positive mood.

“We’re back to it this week and expecting a tough game but with home advantage we’ll be hopeful of getting another three points.

“It’s an impressive run but every time we keep advertising that, every team’s going to want to try and end that.

“We did it to Merley at the beginning of the season and I’m sure Hamworthy will be eager to end it.

“We’ve got to be at our best and we’ll prepare for a tough game. We didn’t have it all our own way their place just before Christmas.”

James has a selection headache going into the contest.

“We’ve got 19 available so I’ve got some hard decisions to make,” he admitted.

“The good news is that the full squad is fit. First time for ages that we’ve been able to pick from a fully-fit squad.

“It’s brilliant for us going into what’s going to be a really tough period with the two semi-finals and Merley next week away.”
