NEW buildings which have been built using materials made out of tens of thousands of recycled bottles have been completed completed for a school.

Dorset Studio School at the Kingston Maurward College campus has had a new student reception area and boot washing facility, complete with lockable wellington boot storage, built out of two tonnes of recycled plastic.

They are the first sustainable education buildings of their kind, made from over 43,000 plastic bottles - which is nearly two tonnes of recycled plastic.

Each room includes hot and cold running water, heaters, indoor and outdoor lighting, bench seating, coat hooks and fixed double glazed windows. The wood effect composite cladding was added to the exterior in a custom powder blue colour.

iForm Clever Buildings based in Milborne St Andrew, Dorset, recently completed these structures for the school on behalf of the Department for Education.
