A ONE-woman play will be coming to Dorchester next week.

Lucy Stevens will be bringing her performance of Virginia Woolf to the Corn Exchange on Sunday January 30 at 8pm.

Virgina Woolf was one of Britain’s phenomenal women of the early 20th century. The performance will reveal her troubled childhood, her views on literature, the Bloomsbury group, the challenges women face as artists and how women’s work has been omitted from histories of music and the arts.

‘Virginia Woolf: Killing the Angel’ is the latest collaboration between professional actor and classical singer Lucy Stevens - and pianist and professor of Harpsichord at Guildhall School of Music Elizabeth Marcus.

Tickets are £15 full price or £13 for Members of Dorchester Arts, under-18s or those on low income.
