Wessex Morris Men got on their toes to raise bags of cash to help children.
Dancers and musicians from Dorset’s longest-established Morris team, which was founded in 1957, collected funds and made donations themselves in aid of School in a Bag during their Sherborne Charity Dance-out, raising £561 for the charity.
School In A Bag provides rucksacks full of essential resources to poor, orphaned, disadvantaged and disaster-affected children around the world. The SchoolBags enable a child to write, draw, colour, calculate, express themselves, eat, drink, wash and above all, learn.
Wessex Morris Men have now returned to their Monday night practice sessions at Pulham Village Hall in north Dorset.
New dancers, experienced or complete novices, are welcome to join them. Sessions start at 8pm. Satnav reference DT2 7DZ.
