AFTER last weekend’s narrow defeat, a reinvigorated Dorchester head to Avonvale for tomorrow's Tribute Southern Counties South clash (2pm).

With a number of regulars returning from injury ready to bolster the side, head coach Josh Ovey will be keen to get back on track with a win.

Adam Makepeace returns to the second row along with Hywel Davies and Josh Hosford in the pack, giving the county town side a solid platform on which to build.

Jamie Morgan returns from a shoulder injury and will be one of the replacements, giving an attacking option later in the game.

Callum King again starts at fly-half with Ovey looking at his backs to gel and utilise young speedsters Brooke Legg and Jack Hayward out wide.

Dorchester sit seventh in the table with their opponents three places below them, meaning the game will no doubt be hotly contested and both sides fighting hard for the win.

Dorchester Seconds take on East Dorset Dockers Seconds at Surcouf Park tomorrow (2.15pm).

A strong front row of Scott Clarke, Alan Gale and Tom Lovell will look to keep Dorchester on the front foot with a solid scrum, whilst Deklyn Bane starts at centre further pushing for a place in the first XV.

Jamie Jackson will lead the team as Matt Fry begins his injury comeback tonight, running out with the Gladiators against a combined Puddletown & Blandford team.

Dorchester again bucking the local trend and getting three competitive senior sides out is a testament to work going on at the club showcasing the spirit being built by the coaches and captains.

Sunday will ring to the noise of the junior section once more with the under-sevens to under-12 sides all welcoming Bridport to Surcouf Park, whilst the under-14s lock horns with Crewkerne.
