A 14-year-old boy was left bruised after reportedly being assaulted by two other teenagers in Wool.

The incident occurred at around 3pm on Saturday, January 22, in Wareham Road. It was reported that a 14-year-old boy was approached by two other male teenagers and punched a number of times to the face and body.

He sustained bruising as a result of the assault but did not require hospital treatment.

Officers investigating the assault are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward, including a man who assisted the victim.

Police Constable Matthew Budd, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to identify a man who went to assist the victim immediately after the incident, as he may have information that could assist our investigation.

“I would also urge residents or any motorists who were in the area to check home CCTV systems or dashcam from around the time of the incident for any relevant footage.”
