A SECOND electric vehicle charging station could be built on the road between Dorchester and Blandford.
Permission has already been given for one, just outside Winterborne Whitechurch, with an application submitted this week for another, smaller site, in Pimperne.
The approved development includes a solar panel farm although the latest application is for a stand-alone charging station close to the Anvil Inn.
A planning application for the eight-bay station has been lodged with Dorset Council for a site at Hyde Farm off the A354 Salisbury Road.
It comes from InstaVolt Ltd and shows the proposed layout just off an existing track with an electricity sub station and standard 120KW charger points each with its own parking bay.
Comments on the application can be made until March 15th.
Further details can be seen on the Dorset Council website, reference 2022/00788.
