FARMING equipment totalling a value of more than £2,000 has been 'stolen' from a secured barn in north Dorset.
Thieves are said to have made off with a wheeled sheep feeder, a sheep turnover crate and a sheep weigher from a farm in the Stourton Caundle area, near Sherborne, last week.
A spokesperson for Sherborne Police said: “Farming equipment has been stolen from a secured barn in the area of Stourton Caundle, sometime between 6pm on Thursday, March 17 and 6am the following morning.
“Thieves forced entry to a barn and stole a wheeled sheep feeder, a sheep turnover crate and a sheep weigher.
“The total value of this stolen equipment is approximately £2,500.”
