JOIN an otter expert for the evening as part of a nature learning event to find out more about the creatures next week.
On Wednesday, April 20 at St Mary’s Church in Cerne Abbas sit down and enjoy a guest talk from wildlife expert Ken Hutchinson; starting at 7pm.
He will provide an in-depth presentation on otters in Dorset, how the annual survey is carried out, and how the local environment can be managed to provide ideal habitats for otters.
A spokesperson for the event said: “The magical sight of an otter swimming wild is being experienced by increasing numbers of people in the valley.
"Ken Hutchinson organises the annual otter and water vole count run by the Dorset Mammal Group in April.”
Tickets cost £7, which includes a glass of wine or a soft drink, and can be purchased online via Eventbrite.
