LIQUID fertiliser worth more than £8,000 has been stolen from a tank at a farm.

Police say that between March 31 and May 10, the offenders gained access to a remote farm in the area between Piddletrenthide and Plush, broke the lock on a large storage tank and took 12,000 litres of liquid fertiliser.

Officers are appealing for witnesses following the theft.

Police Constable Paul Miners, of Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team, said: “Such thefts have a big impact on our rural community and I am trying to progress my enquiries to identify those responsible.

“I urge anyone with information about the incident that might help my investigation to contact us.”
