The Wild Chesil Centre is one of nine venues on the Portland Art Trail which features 17 artists and makers across Portland, many of whom will also be available to chat about their work. Art lovers who visit at least six of the venues on the Portland Trail can be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win a £90 voucher to spend on art from any of the participating Portland Trail venues or artists.

Over at the Fine Foundation Wild Seas Centre in Kimmeridge Bay, an exhibition is currently displaying the work of Jennifer Dalcie Ransome who creates sustainable art using reclaimed materials inspired by the natural world around her. The free exhibition is open between 11am and 4pm every day until Sunday, June 5.

Dorset Wildlife Trust’s Coastal Centres Assistant Sarah Hodgson said, “We are delighted to be hosting these wonderful displays of art inspired by nature over the next few weeks. There is a close connection between art and nature which provides endless inspiration for artists. I would encourage everyone to come and see the wonderful artworks we have on display for themselves and then take in the natural beauty and stunning views with a walk along Chesil Beach or at Kimmeridge Bay afterwards.”
