The first of three Summer Evening History Talks presented by the Friends of Weymouth Museum takes place on Monday, June 13 at 7pm at Hope United Reformed Church in Trinity Street.

Graham Perry, chairman of the Friends of Weymouth Museum, will present a history of the town’s long struggle to establish a permanent museum, which first started in 1858.

The talk will include lots of photos from the museum’s archives including pictures from the museum in the old Melcombe Regis Boys School and some glimpses of the old Timewalk.

Doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets will be available on the door and are £2 for members of the Friends and £3 for visitors. (Exact change would be appreciated, if possible).
